All four seasons of a temperate forest in eastern north america are shown in this illustration of bird life. Spring comprises the panel on the left with it's Carolina Wren, Canada Warbler, Palm Warbler, Woodcock and others. It melds quickly into Summer with a Northern Oriole, Indigo Bunting, Common Yellowthroat and American Redstart. Around the large sycamore is where Autumn begins with a song sparrow, Evening Grosbeak (a bit early in the season for him) and Red-eyed Vireo, blooming goldenrod and milkweed. Finally, Winter is the last panel on the right with snow and ice, a distant black bear, non-breeding American Goldfinch, Bluejay and Crested Titmouse.
